Introduction

What would a homepage be without pictures of the owner and his friends in risqué situations? Plain normal, and we can't have that, now can we? Unfortunately I don't have much interesting material to put up, but I guess these few items will do for the time being.

Oh, and one thing. I'm completely inept as far as remembering dates go. All dates below are estimates and they may be off by four years or more.

Eddy, asleep at The Berzelius School

Well, this is me at the peak of my performance level. No, not really. This is me at a copy-party in Linköping, Sweden. I'm not sure what year, but sometime around 1994 I would guess. You can see my nice lookin' TAC-2 joystick in the background, and the evil Wico stick in the front (not mine, I promise!). The computer was my A500 with an extra drive on top.

Note how I'm guarding my disks from being stolen by sleeping with a protecting hand on them.

The man behind the camera is the ever vigilant Mattias.

I never brought my camera to any of the parties I went on, which is quite a shame really. It would have been nice today, but I guess hindsight is 20-20 as usual. My sentiment was that only "lamers" would run around flashing their cameras at a party.

Again, you will have to excuse the poor quality, but these photographs haven't aged very well.

Anyway, this is my friend Neuro, pointing a gun at one eLiTeD00d which shall remain nameless (let's call him Kim). I believe the caption should read "Now leech me some warez or I'm gonna blow ya' fuckin' brains out!".

Or maybe not.

The computer is an Amiga 3000, and I suspect what is happening is that Kim is logging on to the local BBS it was running, but Neuro would much rather look at some nekkid women and stuff, so he's trying for the classic gun-to-your-head-coup d'état.

The foot? Well, thinking back, I do believe the foot is mine. It could belong to one other person, but I'm the likely owner.

Never mind all the guns in this picture. It's not like they were ever used in ways they shouldn't be. Really.

Neuro & Kim
A small DFR get-together

Here we see a small subset of DFR members, from left to right: Mats, Pettson, Hermes, Retu, and in the background, some kind of USO (Unidentified Sitting Object). Probably someones girlfriend or somesuch.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm guessing Pettson is about to buy sex from Retu, with Mats (Retu's pimp) watching a booting linux-boxen while thinking over the offer. You can see him smiling, while Retu looks more worried than amused. I'm not sure why, it's not like it'd be his first time or anything.

It's either that, or they're doing something nerdy, like discussing the merits of linux over NT-server.

This picture was taken sometime around 1997/8 I'd guess.

Here's one I snapped after cleaning up around my computer setup. Or was it before cleaning up? Anyway, it was taken sometime in 1999 -- I can see the old cd-writer (1x JVC-1001 with 64Kb of buffer. Yeah!) installed, and I've since changed monitor and stereo reciever (got a nice and heavy late 70s to early 80s JVC 4 channel stereo reciever now. They don't make them like that anymore).

The midi-tower is my AMD K6-2 400MHz boxen, seen running Win98. The desktop computer is an AST 6066d running my BBS, SaruCiTY. That little black thing between the mini-tower and the reciever is the modem. The network server is behind me, and thus not in the picture, but you can see the TP-cable leaving on the left above the scanner.

Also not seen is the TV which was to my left, and the speakers at the sides of the desk, just out of frame. I've spent countless hours sitting at this place. This is where I reverse-engineered censorwares, this is where I humiliated my friends in networked Quake and TA, and this is where I've spent more time reading fidonet than I dare think of.

When I'm writing this (2000-10-07) I'm less than I week from moving out, so this setup is about to be taken down.

Eddy's old computer setup
We're not doing anything illegal. Circulate!

Again, we move back in time. This was shot late one night when everyone ought be in deep slumber, dreaming of invisible pink unicorns or some such.

I'm not sure what these guys are up too, but isn't there something fishy about how the modem is hooked up? It's hard to tell, but it looks like the cables come in through the open window? That just can't be standard operating procedure ;-)

We can see again the lovely A500, this time with a hard-drive attached. The modem is a Supra 2.4K, and the software seen running on the TV is ncomm.

Do you see that nice lamp in the background? The one standing on the floor, behind the power-supply for the Amiga? I made that! See the white screen with the ice-cream depicted on it? On the other side I put "C64 Power!". Cute, or what? I got top grades in woodwork, just so you know. :-)

Not seen in this picture are my former neighbours.

This is a picture taken of me, my mother and my sister, both since cropped, while on vacation on the island Gotland. I've removed my two family members because I'm not so sure they'd like being exposed on the internet. Obviously, I have no qualms whatsoever about exposing my friends on the internet. They'll just have to live with it. :-)

Notice how "reserved" I look? That's me on vacation in the middle of nowhere, far away from my beloved... computers.

Wonder where that T-shirt went, I always liked that one. I'm sure I could have squeezed another few years out of it.

As for when this picture was taken, I have no idea. Around 1996 maybe.

No dissing about the hair, M'kay? It was very windy out there!
